About

The first Creemore Community Christmas Dinner was held in 2001, and has been offered every year since thanks to the dedication of our fantastic Friends and Volunteers.  The first dinner seated 15 people, while 2014’s welcomed 141 and last year’s 92.

Our Christmas Dinner is held on December 25th at 4:30pm and brings together community members from all walks of life for a traditional holiday meal.  All are welcome regardless of age or personal circumstance.  Our goal is to ensure that everyone has a little bit of Christmas.

Register before December 23rd to reserve a place setting and to assist with food estimates.  A few seats will be put aside for last minute guests.  Also, if you want to get involved with the Christmas decorating and food preparation, do not hesitate to volunteer.

This year we will be hosting dinner at the Royal Canadian Legion, Creemore Branch 397 at 27 Wellington Street West in Creemore, Ontario, Canada.

Admission is donation of a non-perishable food item for The Salvation Army’s Hope Acres Addiction Treatment Centre in Glencairn if possible.  Please think of others on this wonderful day.

We will also be accepting pay-what-you-can (PWYC) donations at the dinner to help cover the costs.  While the venue is donated by the Legion, and much of the food is contributed by our wonderful community members and friends, there are still costs incurred.

Volunteers will be happy to deliver a hot Christmas meal to any in the Creemore/Avening area who may be shut-in due to illness, disability or other situation.  Volunteers will also be available to assist those in need of transportation to/from the hall.  Simply ask when you register.
